This study is open to American adults of all genders who have recently been diagnosed with COVID-19.

To join this study, you must live in a non-smoking household, and you must not be pregnant or trying to become pregnant. If you are experiencing difficulty breathing, chest pain, confusion, or have underlying risk factors such as diabetes or heart disease, you do not qualify to participate in this study.

To qualify, you MUST meet one of the following conditions:

  • You have taken a COVID-19 test within the last 24-48 hours and have not yet received results.
  • OR You have received a positive diagnosis within the last 24-48 hours.

If you request information for this study, you will be sent an essential oil blend on a testing strip and a packet of instructions through the mail. You will then be able to review the instructions and decide if you want to participate.

If you choose to participate, you will meet via Zoom with a researcher to provide consent, complete a 10-15 minute online survey, a 15 minute aromatherapy breathing exercise, and another 10-15 minute online survey.
